Which device protocols does managed ThingsBoard support?
ThingsBoard accepts device data over MQTT, HTTP, and CoAP out of the box. All three transports are available on every plan; you choose per device type.
How many devices and data points can each plan handle?
Starter supports 50 devices and 1M data points per month. Pro covers 300 devices and 10M, Business reaches 1,000 devices and 100M, and Enterprise scales to 5,000 devices with unlimited data points on a dedicated VM.
Can the ThingsBoard rule engine trigger external webhooks or email alerts?
Yes. The built-in rule engine routes telemetry through configurable chains that can send emails, call HTTP endpoints, or forward to MQTT topics. Alarm escalation rules are available from the Pro plan.
Can you migrate our existing ThingsBoard instance to your managed environment?
